.:Feast on the Yeast:.

The train of thought:
Fall... October... Oktoberfest... Beer... Brewing... Brewers yeast... What does that stuff look like?  Fall --> Oktoberfest --> Beer. That's the inspiration for this design. Across the top you'll see the head of a frosty beer with a band of barley below it. The background is a seamless pattern depicting the yeast culture, saccharomyces cerevisiae, responsible for giving beer that certain "je n'cest quoi". So you see, beer is the perfect Fall theme in a kind of "Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon" way.

Saccharomyces cerevisiae (background) is a species of budding yeast. It is perhaps the most relevant yeast for mankind, both for its use since ancient times in baking and brewing, and for being one of the most intensively studied eukaryotic model organisms in molecular and cell biology. table (1K) Saccharomyces cerevisiae was the first eukaryote to have its genome sequenced (published in 1996). The genome is composed of about 13,000,000 base pairs and 6,275 genes. It is estimated that yeast shares about 23% of its genome with humans. Think about that the next time you blow the foam off of a cold one. So much for Lorem Ipsum.  How do you like the way I worked a table into my design?

What is the difference between a blimp and 365 beers?
One is a Goodyear, and one is a GREAT year!

I'm releasing this design into the public domain. Use it however you wish - no strings. You can add additional menus and blog boxes to the left and right of the center container very easily. Use of the table is optional.
